EAST FISHKILL A sobriety check conducted early Sunday by East Fishkill Town Police netted a teen, her mother and father in back-to-back incidents. A vehicle was stopped after an officer saw, in plain view, marijuana paraphernalia. Two 18-year-old boys and two 15-year-old girls, all from Hopewell Junction, were in the car. All of their parents were called to pick up their children. The mother of one of the girls, a 46-year-old Hopewell Junction woman, arrived and officers found her to be intoxicated. She was arrested and the child was released to another adult on the scene. Two hours later, the same girl’s 45-year-old father drove through the checkpoint and he was found to be intoxicated as well. He was arrested. Both parents were charged with misdemeanor DWI.

Wow! The trifecta! This has to be some sort of DUI record right? 3 family members all busted at the same sobriety check in one day? To quote Barry Tompkins “How Do You Like It!” And yes I’ve been waiting to use that Barry Tompkins line for a month now. If you know who he is than this is very funny. If you don’t than this blog probably kind of sucked for you. Either way do you think the family is sneaky proud about this? Like yeah it’s kind of embarrassing, but a record is a record.
