Today In Women’s Sports: Two Chicks Decide Not To Race Because One Doesn’t Want To Hurt The Other’s Feelings
(BigLead) – Jeneba Tarmoh and Allyson Felix were all set to have a run-off tonight on NBC to determine who goes to the Olympics – they famously tied for 3rd place in the 100 last month – but it isn’t happening. Tarmoh has decided she’s uncomfortable with the race-off or even the coin flip, and has conceded the spot in the race to Felix, according to USA Today’s David Leon Moore. Puzzling? Shocking? Yup. Something happened over the weekend – I’m sure it’ll eventually come out – and the two runners had a phone conversation. This morning, Tarmoh pulled out. After the tie, Tarmoh was upset and said, “I just feel like I earned the third spot. I almost feel like I was robbed.” Initially, she was awarded 3rd place, given a medal and did a victory lap. After all of that, she received the news of a dead heat. One minute you’re headed to the Olympics, the next you’re … in a 1 on 1 televised race for a spot in the Olympics.
Girls sports are the gift that keep on giving. Like this is the epitome of why we don’t take female athletes seriously at all. Only one spot left for the Olympics? Oh that’s fine. I’ll let my friend go because I don’t want to hurt her feelings. Meanwhile men would literally murder their mother if it meant they could represent their country at the Olympic games. I mean hey you’ve only been training for 4 years, right? Eh, no big deal. Fuck it. Not as important as making sure Allyson Felix remains your facebook friend. Such a typical chick move. Make some excuse to backdoor your way out of actually trying and blame everybody else on the way out. Jeneba Tarmoh is the gold medal winner at being a pussy.
PS – that chick in front clearly won. Why were the even considering a re-race?

The girl didnt run because she essentially chickened out and felt that because they ruled her 3 at the beginning, but it was actually a tie, she should have it given to her because they gave her a medal and let her do a victory lap. The other girl is going to the olymics in other events too and could have just given it to her but she said no earn it.
