I think when it’s all said and done hockey players are actually the funniest and most down to earth professional athletes there are. Probably because the NHL isn’t in the same zip code as the other 3 sports in terms of popularity so they aren’t as stuck up. Like they haven’t had their asses kissed their entire lives like the pros in every other sport so they have a better grip on reality. At least that’s my theory… Either way this was pretty funny and I needed to kill time because I got to go run that Air Hockey tournament at Game On!

when I first saw this a few days ago I thought the Oilers were in trouble, but after reading in on it it was joke, Hall, Eberle and Penner were all in on it cause the rest of the league was talking about that goal ( sweet goal btw)

The NHL had very similar attendance numbers to the NBA in 2009 and their buildings are slightly smaller. Point is, the NBA is trash.

Yes, hockey players are definitely the most down-to-earth of the 4 major sports. As someone who played thru college, i think i can tell you exactly why. Hockey players coming up thru the ranks have to earn respect every step of the way. If you play the game like an a-hole, you have to answer for it every nite on the ice. That’s not the case in baseball or basketball. Football players face the same adversity to a similar extent, but it is highly dependent on the position. I’d say the lineman and defensive players are more like hockey players, but the skill position guys on offense tend to be more like baseball and basketball players.
Pretty hilarious.
You can see at the end of each interview they’re just about ready to start laughing.
