LAS VEGASMGM Resorts International was under investigation after the underage son of basketball great Michael Jordan bragged on Twitter about partying at a Las Vegas Strip nightclub, Nevada gambling regulators said Monday. Officials were examining whether the casino operator violated laws prohibiting drinking or gambling by minors, … Jordan’s 19-year-old son Marcus Jordan tweeted Aug. 20 about spending $35,000 at Haze at Aria Resort & Casino. “Last night was stupid… 35K at Haze,” the University of Central Florida sophomore guard said. “Totals 50K something the whole day.” The tweet has since been removed from the site. Jordan told a Fox Sports website last week that the tweet was a mistake and said he had conversations with both his parents about it. “I didn’t mean it the way it came across,” he said. “My family and friends know the type of person I am.” A video posted to Twitter by Jeffrey Jordan shows all three players hanging out at the Liquid Pool Lounge, the resort’s adults-only pool… MGM Resorts spokesman Alan Feldman declined comment. The Aria is the centerpiece casino of CityCenter, the company’s joint venture with Dubai World that cost $8.5 billion to build.

Malcolm Forbes… who made a fortune chronicling the wealthy… once said “I’ve never met a rich man’s son who was worth a damn.”  (Something I keep in mind every four years when his own kid runs for president.)  And this is proof positive of what Forbes was talking about.  Hey, Marcus, you’re Michael Jordan’s kid.  The world is your oyster.  There is nothing you cannot have, just for the asking.  Private jets, limos, a spot on the UCF roster, famous friends, an entourage, country club memberships, admittance into the most exclusive parties on the strip and attention from the best strippers in Vegas because you can drop a Katrina sized rainstorm on them and not ever miss the cash.    And all you have to do is keep your goddamn mouth shut around the silver spoon that’s been stuck in it for 19 years, punkass.  But you couldn’t leave well enough alone.  You just had to Tweet about it.  Now you’ve put an $8.5 billion hotel in danger of losing their license and ruining it for the next 19 year old rich kid to get in.  Nice going, asswipe.  Someday about 16 years from now, Tiger Woods’ kid is going to be cursing your name.
