Then I think I saw Gostkowski shank a 35 yard field goal by a mile and the Cardinals run onto the field in celebration. I don’t get it. We won right? No way we lose at home to Arizona. Only week 2 and we lost to a non-conference team, so it doesn’t really matter. What does matter is that Hernandez probably broke his ankle and we won’t see him until January. Terrible game.

Having Sunday Ticket, I had the privilege of seeing these scabs make horrendous calls in every other game so I don’t feel quite as bad.
One thing I learned from this game: Gostowski ain’t no Vinateri. Makes two 50+ yard field goals in the middle of the game, yet can’t make a 40 yarder to win it. Major chokejob

jackofspades, you’re half-right. the refs stole a win with that bad call, so that’s on them. the problem is that the pats offense couldn’t get clicking until the final 5 minutes against an average-at-best team. the cardinals actually played a hell of a game, i tip my cap to them. but the pats were only position to win because of a miracle, and even after the bad call the pats had every opportunity, but they got a false start and then gostkowski cundiff’d the game-winner. this one is mostly on the pats.

everybody needs to just chill. it’s week 2. the pats lost to a less talented team. they came to play, the pats didn’t. yeah, that sucks. we almost won on a miracle, which was actually just a solid defensive play. there were some officiating shenanigans that are up for discussion. but at the end of the day, the game got gift wrapped and handed to us, and the one guy who was the reason we were even in position to win couldn’t execute. shit sucks, and it was an extra kick in the balls for sure. but whether you’re a pats lover or a pats hater, it’s only week 2. it was a bad game, we can be mad tonight, but at the end of the day, we’re really not that much worse off because of it, with the obvious exception of the Hernandez injury…but even with that, this offense is still stacked. go back to the drawing board and show up ready to play next week in baltimore. keep it in perspective.
