Angels Yankees Baseball

Boston.com - The Yankees are in the ALCS for the first time since — ahem — 2004. But Yankee Stadium may not be sold out tonight for Game 1 against the Angels. That would be embarrassing for the business side of the organization. 6,000 seats available as of last night through the team. Just a few minutes ago, to see what was out there, I pulled up four tickets on Yankees.com for section 221. OK, so they were $431 each. But they were there. The Yankees trumpeted their postseason ticket prices a few weeks ago, proudly saying they had held the line on prices. But apparently they didn’t go far enough. So if you’re a Yankees or Angels fan and in the vicinity of the Bronx tonight, seats are there to be had. Dress warm.

Fucking disgusting huh? Yankees can’t even sell out the ALCS. Why am I not surprised by this? Just another reason to root against them I guess. Their fairweather pussy fans don’t deserve it. Anyway I meant to post this yesterday but here is quick guide on how to watch the MLB playoffs now that we’re eliminated.

4. Yankees – Obviously a no brainer. A Yankee title this year would almost be as important to them as when we won in 2004. Because make no mistake about it. This decade has belonged to us. And as long as New York continues their World Series drought we’ll still have bragging rights over them. All their rings don’t mean shit when we have the only two titles this century. Plus I fucking hate Joe Giardi. The thought of watching him celebrate literally makes me skin crawl.

3. Dodgers – Probably my two least favorite human beings not only in baseball but in life are on the Dodgers. You got Manny and Joe Torre. I honestly don’t know which guy I despise more. You got one guy who pretends his shit doesn’t stink and another guy who could care less that his shit stinks. Both are reprehensible.

2. Phillies – I really got nothing against the Phillies. I mean I don’t think the Sox have ever played a meaningful game against them in the history of the Franchise. Sure Pedro is on their team but he’s kind of a no factor and I like Pedro anyway. If it weren’t for the fact that they already won last year they’d probably be the team I’d be least upset about winning. But no city deserves back to back titles except us.

1. Angels – Even though we just got brutalized by Anaheim I really have no hard feelings towards them. I’ve always kind of liked Tory Hunter and Vlad Guerrero. And we had beaten them so many straight times that it was hard to hate them. They were just kind of like a kid brother that you beat 1,000 straight times in horse and then they finally win one and you almost feel happy for the little guy. Bottom-line is if they do go on to win the World Series nobody is going to remember them beating us. It will all be about them beating the Yankees and whoever they play in the World Series and that’s fine by me. Plus when’s the last time you bumped into an Angels fan? Umm never.
