The Yankees are the only team that can keep all their talent after winning a World Series. Every other team has an immediate loss of at least some top players as they go for the big bucks. The Yankees ARE the big bucks. That’s why one championship turns into many for them. It’s not rocket science.

Celtics young talent and draft picks were traded for Garnett and Allen. Rondo, Pierce, and Perkins were drafted by the Celtics. There is a salary cap in basketball. Lets stop the Yankees and Celtics “buying” a title comparison.

LOL. i obviously hit a nerve with this cunt. Was anything I said in my post wrong? Being a boston fan, waiting those 86 years. It must definitely suck! It just baffles me that boston cunts bitch about “buying” championships when the Yankees win with home grown talent as well thru trades and free agency. During the ’90s dynasty, they were made up of Yankee farm system players. Whereas the red sux only recently started paying attention to scouting. Keep sucking, Boston. Hope Garnett doesnt hurt his knee this season. Then all the “at least we have the celtics” talk would end.

P.S. The 72-win Bulls would beat any celtic team in history.

You do realize the celts play under a salary cap right? you do realize they’re the best team in NBA history right? you do realize they won 8 fuckin championships in a row right? you do realize the knicks have the same cap and they fuckin suck right? you do realize how stupid it is to just bring in the past every time you talk about a franchise right? should i just cap off every single knick regular season win with, “doesn’t matter, celts are the best team of all time!!!!”

point is, it’s nothing special for the yanks to win. if you’re a lifelong yankee fan, how could you honestly give a fuck they won? they won 27 series, so how in the hell could you be happy about this one??? omg 9 years?!?!!??! the red sox on the other hand winning in 04, that was special why? cuz they were the underdog, they beat goliath, they came down from 3-0, etc. etc. congrats yankees, you “met expectations.” looks great at a performance review ey? the yankees should be flat out ashamed of themselves if they can’t win the world series every year. the fact they went 9 is pathetic. it only speaks to the fact that they are a sad, sad franchise if they can still lose to a team like the Marlins, with a payroll smaller than A-Rod’s.

Honestly yankee fans, who the fuck cares if you won? Go 162-0, then you could say you actually did something with your team that was out of the ordinary.
